Hello lovelies,

For those of you who may not know, here at Peekaboo we have our own amazing make-up artist, Kirstie Wight! Thanks to her, every Peekaboo client looks flawless for her boudoir photoshoot feeling nothing short of fabulous during the entire time! Kirstie compiled a sweet list of beauty tips for you!

Polish and glow from head to toe

Scrub regularly to get your blood flowing and smooth any dry skin leaving it soft and polished. Here are some of Kirstie’s favorite products for scrubbing:
Face | Laura Mercier Face Polish | Boscia Smoothing Facial Polish | Bobbi Brown Buffing Grains
Lips | Sara Happ Lip Exfoliator | Lush Bubble Gum Lip Scrub | Aubery Elizabeth Apothecary Blood Orange Lip Scrub
Body | Tea Tree Shea Sugar Scrub | The Body Shop Cocoa Butter Body Scrub | Fresh Brown Sugar Body Scrub

Coconut oil

There are countless benefits for using coconut oil. Where to begin… It can be used for everything, including skin and hair moisturizer, makeup remover, deep conditioning mask, and it even has great health benefits to eating it! One of Kirstie’s favorite brands is Adara Coconut Virgin Oil.

Body brushing

Because it feels so good! Body brushing is great before the morning shower. Aside from basic exfoliation, body brushing or dry brushing is an incredible way to rid your body of toxins and reduce bloating. You can find body brushes at your local health food store or beauty boutique.

Exfoliating feet

Our feet need love, too. Be kind to your feet and scrub them! Pumice stones, foot scrubs and exfoliating creams are great options to keeping your tootsies in tip top shape.

Alpha hydroxy acids or AHAs

AHAs are commonly used for cosmetic applications. They exfoliate the skin chemically rather than physically. There are many different delivery systems such as exfoliating pads for the face, face creams and lotions as well as body lotions.

Water

Drink water regularly even if you’re not thirsty, and then drink some more! It’s just like sleep; you can tell when you haven’t had enough. But the best treatment is prevention, so drink up all the time! Be mindful of your water intake and your skin will thank you.

We’d like to thank Kirstie for her wonderful tips. You can check out her beautiful work here and see why we love having her at our in the studio. If you have your own favorite beauty tip to add to the list, please share it with us on our Facebook page!
